MDB began their road to success in 1990 formed by Aaron, Andy, Calvin and Rick and after 6 months they had released first demo album called "Towards the Sinister". More about history you can read on their homepage. But i will talk more about how i know my dying bride.
It all started several years ago when i heard the song called "The Light at the End of the
World" which is my favourite even till today. So what makes MDB so special?
First their songs are really expresing what doom metal really should: love stories, wine and roses, etc.
Their vocalist is also very charismatic and he has a little bit different stage performance like other singers. For that matter check youtube for their concert videos. He is really showing his felling up there(if you are not sceptic). So i've listened to all the albums of MDB and i can say they are all having this same theme. Love, broken heart and suffering. I also recommend reading their lyrics, they can give u some deppresive fellings, but its ok because it is only the music they speak of despair, pain, romance, losing faith....
So how do they sound? Deppresive and sad and can make your fellings burst out. Trough their carrier they have changed a bit but they are all that doom metal fan could want. Romantic music with mix of clean and growl vocals. Their style is somehow unique and mainly doom (with some of death influences in some tracks)
